Your pharmacy's inventory data belongs to your pharmacy.
Ivessa is designed to keep operational data on your devices. The website doesn't require an account to browse.
1. Records stored on your devices
- Inventory data (items, lots, expirations, rooms, quantities, order sets, schedules, the activity log) and the names of the people who use it, in an encrypted database on each of your devices.
- Passwords and PINs only as one-way hashes, never as readable text.
- Product photos you add, inside the same encrypted database.
- The app is not for patient information. Patient's-own-medication entries use a tag or nickname, never a patient's name.
2. Sharing on your pharmacy's network
- If you turn sharing on, your computers exchange data directly with each other, encrypted, on your pharmacy's network, and only between computers you paired with a one-time code.
- Access from home is off unless you turn it on. Then the data passes through a relay that your pharmacy controls, encrypted end to end so the relay can't read it.
- Nothing is sent to us in either case.
3. Optional update checks
On computers, the app asks GitHub, where updates are published, whether a newer version exists. GitHub sees the request like any web visit. No pharmacy data is sent. If your IT team blocks it, the app keeps working and updates can be installed by hand.
4. Encrypted backups
Backups are saved on your computer and go only where you choose to save copies. They're encrypted; the recovery kit (printed or saved as a PDF), which you keep, opens them.
5. Camera (tablets and phones)
Used only when you tap the camera button, to read a barcode on the device. Pictures aren't saved or sent anywhere.
6. This website and its host
This website has no cookies, no tracking and no outside scripts or fonts. The help search runs in your browser and sends nothing. Like any website host, Cloudflare may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, time and page requested) to deliver and protect the site. That is separate from the app: no app data ever reaches the website. The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which handles visits under its own privacy policy.

8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
